Before finding a cash machine, I spotted this bike shop. A little while later, in the town centre, I was greeted and welcomed to Turkey by a man who said that he had done a fair bit of cycle touring within Turkey. He asked if I was all right. I didn't bother asking him about spokes because I still didn't have any money and had already seen this place. This looked like the ideal kind of place: a dark workshop with bits of bikes all over the place. Wonderfully, it's open on a Sunday afternoon too. If it was a few miles back, it wouldn't have been but now that I'm in the Muslim world, Fridays are the new Sundays. The owner went into a shed and compared my broken spoke to the wheels of a huge pile of old bikes but coudn't find anything appropriate.

Later in the day, after a little sleep in my hotel, I would try my remaining spares again but they definitely didn't fit.
