 I'm back in the mountains and it's raining again. I should have learned by now that American rain never lasts for more than about an hour. I set off just as it was starting this morning and got drenched. The rain was hammering down sometimes so hard that I couldn't keep my eyes open, there was quite a lot of thunder around and absolutely nowhere to shelter from it. The rain has stopped now and the weather seems to be clearing up. There's blue sky on the left but cloud around the mountain on the right. I wonder whether the road, which reaches the horizon in the middle of the picture, will manage to stay out of the cloud.
