 When I saw the exposed mud along the side of the river, I thought it might be a symptom of the long heatwave which has caused river levels all across Europe to be unusually low. Now that I think about it though, it's probably just because the Garonne in Bordeaux has a tidal range of about 3 metres and it's currently close to low tide.
