A restaurant in the shape of a boat. The Beardmore Sculpture, apparently. As well as the towpaths being in good condition, these helpful signs are present at every bridge. As I approached this, I wondered why there was a light under the bridge even though there's nowhere ... The bridge which you can see in the sky replaced the Erskine Ferry as the way of crossing the Clyde ... This device is cutting and pulling in weeds from the canal. I saw one like it earlier in the trip bu... I have now seamlessly transferred from the canal towpath to an old railway line. This is where the Forth-Clyde Canal meets the Clyde, at a place called Bowling. A tunnel on the old railway. I'm now following the cycle route signs on a rather convoluted route through Dumbarton. Those fancy ... A group of cyclists going the other way. Next my route will take me along the bank of the River Leven. Through a field of cows. The route has become quite a lot sketchier in the last few minutes. Oh, I see what's happened. The cycle route cuts off a big oxbow bend of the river but somehow I miss... Oh, that makes it even better. An overcomplicated toilet in Balloch, at the southern end of Loch Lomond.
