 About 3 km of the road turned out to be stony, which I didn't expect. In the far distance in this picture is an earth moving vehicle which is smoothing out one of the ridges of stones. I don't know whether that is part of a process which will end with this section getting surfaced properly. Of course, riding along here gave me a puncture. I thought I had got away with it when I reached the tarmac at the far and and the bike was still okay but about a kilometre after that the tyre was flat.
