 The other guests at breakfast this morning had come from all over the USA to see the eclipse. Several of them had initially driven to Texas, but then on the day had driven for a few more hours to get to here after seeing that the weather in Texas might be cloudy. From overhearing their conversations, I realised that Malvern is called "Brick City" because they make bricks here, not just because some of the buildings are built from bricks. Here's a lorryload ready to be shipped. Wikipedia says that the town's nickname is "the brick capital of the world" and that events at the annual Brickfest include "a brick toss, brick car derby, and a best-dressed brick contest".
