 By the front door, there is a note explaining which way to turn the door handle, another explaining how to open the key safe (without specifying the code of course) and another with three different telephone numbers to call. The only one of my SIMs which works here is my British one and I don't seem to be able to call American numbers directly from that. I have to put them in the address book first. The first time I tried, all three numbers went to answering machines but after I while I got through to the housekeeper, who told me where the key is (it turns out that it's not in the key safe at all) but then said that she would be here in a few minutes and I would have to wait for her to get here to show me to my room. When she arrived she said that she had seen me out on the road a couple of hours earlier heading this way and had wondered whether I might be her guest for tonight.
