![]() A lot of parking places in Italy and France require parking discs, which you set to show the time when you arrived. I bought one from my local council but realised a problem when I first came to use it. Its numbers go from 1 to 12 but the signs here in Italy which explain at what times of day the parking rules apply all use 24-hour time. I might be able to get away with mine here but I don't think I will in France. Everything in France uses 24-hour time. I have been looking at these discs in car windows and I don't really understand how they can work. With the numbers spaced like that, there isn't room for 24 of them round the circle.
