This isn't actually the 4th of November Square which I had been planning to visit. That was the one in Bolzano which has a bilingual sign. I've changed my mind though and I'm having this one. This one is just as interesting because it seems to be named after the 4th of November in two different years, although the maps just show it as Piazza IV Novembre. Making that change will save having to drive through the centre of Bolzano and paying to park. 4th November 1918 is when Italy stopped fighting the First World War because Austria-Hungary surrendered. 4th November 1966 is probably a reference to the terrible flooding which occurred in Northern Italy on that day.
