 Everything is going well so far. The weather has been great and my progress has matched my most optimistic estimates. The only slight problem I've discovered is that I've forgotten to bring the correct kind of data cable for this external hard drive, even though I was using one just a few days ago. This Micro USB cable works but it's very slow. The proper cable is wider and fills the hole. I like to back my files up every night in case the laptop should unexpectedly get destroyed in any way, and it's easier to do a full backup than an incremental one. Last night's backup only took a couple of minutes but the directory will get bigger every day so by the end of the trip it will probably take hours each night.
