 From what I saw online last night, I don't think the mountain passes over the Alps from Italy to France have opened for the summer yet so I'm coming the long way round, on the motorway. It's quite a work of engineering though. The journey is about 250 km and almost all of that it is either bridges or tunnels. Here is a rest area, overlooked by a village.
