The trouble is that there are not many places to actually lean bikes here and absolutely nowhere available to lock one. Most of them are just standing there. The annoying thing is that there are three pipes which could be used for securig bikes to and all of them have bikes leaning against them but not locked to them. Look, the lock on that bike on the right just goes round its frame and front wheel and not the pipe. If its owner was going to do that, why didn't they put it were mine is? For a while, I though I could get my lock down one of the gaps between the vertical slats behind the horizontal wooden baton. It turns out though that the grey wall below the baton is further forward than I thought so if you push something down one of those gaps, it ends up behind that wall. Just outside the shed, there is a fire escape. I could have locked my bike under that in a way which doesn't affect the use of the fire escape, as I have done several times before, but there are three more bikes parked in that very place, also not locked to anything. There are plenty of lamp posts and flagpoles in the car park which I could lock it to but this is signed as the bike parking area so I feel like I might get in trouble for parking it somewhere else.
