 Two other people arrived on bikes just a few minutes before I did. We temporarily parked them all near the front door. While in my room, I overheard what sounded like the owner telling them that they should move the bikes for security, which seemed to contradict his own policy of leaving the whole house unlocked while he went wherever he went, presumably a plumbing shop. I don't know where they did move theirs to but I've now locked mine here.
