The last of the milestones, 1 Prussian mile from Altona and 11 1/4 from Kiel. The stone plaque says that King Friedrich VI of Denmark left it here when the road was built in 1830-1832. Presumably it only actually took him one day to leave it here but the plaque doesn't specify which day. At time time, the German Confederation consisted of 39 small states, each with their own ruler. This state, Holstein, happened to be ruled by King Friedrich of Denmark. Maybe these are meant to be Danish miles then, not Prussian miles. They're the same length.
