Boysen Reservoir is part of the Wind River, whose source I saw yesterday. It is held back by the Boysen Dam, somewhere in the distance, which blocks the entrance to the Wind River Canyon. When the river emerges from that canyon, it changes its name to the Bighorn River, named after the breed of sheep. Eventually, it empties into the Yellowstone River. There is a smaller river which also empties into the Yellowstone near there so that one is called the Little Bighorn, which is where the battle got its name. I mentioned back when I was in Custer County, Idaho that Little Bighorn was still a few days ahead then.
