For the first time, I've got to the end of a day and the big bottle of water still feels cold. Because I went the wrong way twice, it wasn't a quick day. It's just that the weather has been a bit cooler than most days. You might ask why I carried nearly two litres of water up and over the Eastern Divide if I never opened the bottle all day. I say a better question is why I have carried those other two drinks all the way from Casper, Wyoming. I'm not going to need them now because here in the East there are shops every few kilometres. There are no more big hills to climb though so I have no reason to want to shed the weight.
