 I'm only four miles away from tonight's hotel but it looks like there might be a problem with the road. The diamond-shaped sign says "IMPASSABLE DURING HIGH WATER". The sign in the foreground looks a bit too permanent to be for a flood though. If the problem is 2.9 miles away, then it's around the place where we have to cross a small river called Davis Creek. The road along the left side of the Interstate doesn't cross the river so I can't use that. I could go for a couple of miles on this road and they deviate onto gravel roads to the right but I would have to walk them because I don't want another puncture, and if this road is flooded then those roads probably will be too. There are also some gravel roads to the left of the Interstate but if I went that way, I would be on gravel for many miles and they might be flooded as well. My only option might be to actually ride on the shoulder of the Interstate.
