 A tunnel, complete with a trail of tiny lights, on a converted railway called the Strawberry Line. I've resented this line since the only other time I tried to use it, about ten years ago. That time, it let me get half way along and then suddenly said that the second half was closed and sent me through a dreadful diversion with shin-deep mud which eventually filled the space within the panier rack so that the wheel wouldn't even turn. I'm still angry now that there was no sign at the point where I joined the line to say that it wasn't fully open. If there had been, I would have just stayed on the main road. Perhaps by going along this line properly today, I'll be able to make my peace with it.
