 This is something important to remember. It gets dark here much earlier than in New Zealand. Actually, it gets dark here pretty much simultaneously with then it does in the South Island but there's a three hour difference in the times on the clocks. I'm used to it staying light well past 9pm. I'm very glad I haven't committed myself to any 140 km rides but I think I should try to make early starts in the mornings anyway. At least if the Sun does this, it might remind me to go and look for some dinner before everywhere closes.
