 The locations of the fumaroles change over time and the local authority have to keep moving the fences accordingly. I passed one fenced-off area with no activity and this picture shows two vents which don't yet have proper fences. The one in the foreground is just a bubbling puddle. The one surrounded by rocks has only a small amount of visible water but sounds like a boiling kettle and is producing a lot of steam.
