 I've noticed over the years that there seems to be a kind of karma which means that if ever you're arrogant enough to overtake something, some mishap almost immediately befalls the bike. Today, I got stuck behind a tiny tractor which was going down a slight hill so slowly that I had to use my brakes to stay behind it. After a while, I overtook it and within seconds I had a puncture. After repairing it, I looked back at the bike just in time to see the last drops emptying out of those two bottles, which had previously been full of Coke. When turning the bike over, I forgot that I had left the valves open to allow gas to escape when they were shaken. Now I've not got much to drink and the bike has got a sticky frame.
