 I don't think the Dutch, Germans or Poles would allow bikes on a road like this but it's actually very good. Where I am standing, the lane on the right is a hard shoulder but it also sometimes gets used for bus stops or, as here, deceleration and acceleration lanes for a turning. Some of the turnings were just farm tracks so you can have 14 painted arrows for one juction, which probably goes for days at a time without being used.
