 For most of the way so far in Germany, there has been a separate path for bikes. Often, it has been quite bumpy, had pedestrians on it or had other reasons why I wished I was on the proper road instead. In fact, sometimes I have used the proper road. Here though, it's wonderful smooth newly-laid tarmac.
