 Here's the bike. It's got slightly more of a racing shape than the ones I have previously used. Although it's not obvious here, you may notice in later pictures that it has mismatched panniers. They look a bit odd but there is a reason for them. The one on the right is of a type which I have used before. It's very sturdy and I have complete confidence in it. It also has a pocket in the top where I can keep my camera so that I can reach it without getting off the bike. The one on the left is a little more suspect but it's the only one I could find which would accommodate my new laptop. I hadn't taken a picture of the bike until now because it looked incomplete without its two water bottles, which were stolen last night in Colchester. I thought it would take me more than a day to find replacements but a few minutes ago, I happened to spot a Halfords which stays open until nine o'clock on Fridays.
