I didn't realise quite how posh this hotel was when I arrived. I was distracted by having to pass through a metal detector. Of course, I've got all sorts of metal tools and was wondering how to explain them now that I haven't got a bike but, as normal, the people who asked to see my luggage had seen enough before I had unpacked half of the first bag. On-line booking doesn't seem to be very big in Turkey. Although there weren't many hotels along the road today, there were lots in Edirne and all along the coast here but this five-star job seemed to be the most westerly bookable hotel in European Turkey. Still, it was cheaper than the Ibis in Milan. UTC Time: 17:13, Monday 29 June 2009 Local Time: 20:13, Monday 29 June 2009 Location unknown |
