 There are two tings which have surprised me about Serbia. One is how many signs are in English, especially those to tourist attractions such as the Danica Jovanovic birthplace on the right. The other is that the Serbial language, although very similar to Croat, can be written in either the Roman or the Cyrillic alphabet. Some signs say the same thing in both alphabets. I think they would sound the same if you read them out loud. It must make it confusing to learn to read here.
