 The bars in the citadel's main square were all pretty busy but none of them really looked like they were doing food so I ended up in this restaurant. My phrasebook seems to give translations for dishes which are a local speciality but not for any of the normal items on the menu so I was struggling a bit with the menu posted outside when a waiter found me and invited me in. After a while, the waiters found a menu with translations and one of them spoke enough English that I didn't really need my phrasebook. Shortly after that, several large parties turned up and the staff got quite busy so I decided not to trouble them for a third course, which was a shame because the first two were good and I'm trying to use up my Croatian money. By the way, look what all the tables are made from. There must be a reason.
