 The Maksimilian Guesthouse turned out to be a wonderful place. It's like a huge flat of some kind, with several of its rooms available for guests. I would meet the owner the next day. I didn't work out what the arrangement was with the other people who were living there but when I wandered in and up the stairs into their lobby, one of them, alerted by a webcam, came and shook my hand, saying he had been expecting me. You don't get that in big hotels. This is the kitchen area, where he said I was allowed to help myself to tea and coffee.
