 A lot of the houses have benches outside them. In Romania a few years ago, I saw saw people sitting outside their houses but yesterday evening, I passed through one town where almost every second house had people sitting in front of it watching what was going on. All they would have seen was traffic and other people looking back at them. Occasionally, there's a bench which is a bit different, like this one.
