 I had expected there would be signs forbiding the use of cameras here but there weren't, just signs forbidding phones and guns. The road with the artwork passed a few facilities like this and there were pipes sticking out of the ground in many more places. It made me wonder whether the road, and all the artwork, had been put in by the gas company. Personally, I think it would have been useful to spend a bit less on artwork and a bit more on signs. I don't know if it's because I've moved onto a smaller-scale map but after some faultless navigation this morning, I've now got no idea where I'm going. There were some blue cycle route signs like those seen in Bjelovar but after a while, they only pointed to some village which wasn't on my map, near where the fire was. When I got there, I did see one sign for an "International Route". It mentioned a town which I didn't really want to visit but at least it would have got me out of these woods and back onto the main road. I never saw another sign for that route though. Instead, since then, I've been following signs which just have a picture of a bike on. It turned out, as I had feared, to be a circular route. Eventually, I came back almost to where I had been two hours earlier. The easiest solution then would have been to go back to exactly where I had been and re-join the main road but that felt like it would have been admitting defeat so instead I struck off in another direction and crossed the ridge of hills on a stony gravel track. That didn't have many signs either but at least it was the same shape as one of the lines on my map so I was reasonably confident where I was going, even if it was quite slow.
