The left part of this building is a restaurant while the right part is an estate agent's office. What's interesting is that on both sides, the windows completely slide up into the ceiling to leave big open gaps between those pillars. Another restaurant had nozzles spraying a fine mist of water around the perimeter of its verandah to keep it cool.

Apparently, the temperature is a little over 100 Fahrenheit today. That's barely any warmer than it has been for a lot of my journey and I wouldn't have a problem riding in this weather. In my original plan, I allowed for shorter days at the end of the ride than at the start because I thought I would want to spend less time outdoors. It looks like that might not be necessary so a Wednesday departure from here might still allow me to reach the coast before I run out of time.

Amazingly, the Weather Channel is still predicting thunderstorms and flooding. I don't believe it. The rocks around the town don't look like they see rain from one year to the next. Rain was predicted for Nevada too. It's obviously nonsense. The Weather Channel is pretty good at predicting the wind and the temperature though, which is why I keep watching.
