The view from my hotel window. As soon as I got in, I called the bike shop to see if they happened to be open on a Sunday and if by any chance they had my wheel yet even though we had agreed I would collect it tomorrow morning. They were open but worryingly they said the wheel was on order and should be in this week, probably Monday or Tuesday.

My next stop, Green River, is only 50 miles away. I had initially hoped to ride there in the early morning but if I get the new wheel by tomorrow afternoon, I should still be able to ride there before nightfall. If I have to wait until Tuesday, it will put me behind schedule again. As I don't have very many days left on the trip now, it will be a little tricky to make up the lost time. I reckon that, at the very latest, I can afford to stay here until early on Wednesday afternoon.

I've cancelled tomorrow night's room in Green River while I still can though as I don't feel optimistic. I tried to get a new wheel for this bike when I was at home a few monhs ago. Then, the bike shop ordered one and said it would arrive in a week. I went back after 9 days to be told it was on order, it would take another week and they would call me when it arrived. It never did. I can't just stay in Moab forever waiting. Perhaps I should look into other ways of leaving this town.
