This is where the library is going to be. When I first saw Naturita, it looked like an old mining town which was on its last legs. It occurred to me that 'the town which refused to die' might soon be an inappropriate description for this place. It now appears that Naturita is on the up and actually bills itself as 'the middle of everywhere'. It's obviously attracting tourists and has several restaurants, and according to the headline on the local newspaper, uranium mining will begin here in three years.

I checked my wheel in the motel. It doesn't look any more cracked than it did last time I looked. It seems that the wobbling is just due to the rear tyre being slightly deformed. It's probably not that serious, although I expect the wobbling will probably accelerate the demise of the wheel. I'm intending to carry on to Moab tomorrow. After all, I don't know of any other way of getting out of Naturita. A few times in the last few days I have thought there was a bus coming the other way but it always just turned out to be somebody's enormous camper van.
