 Even though Ordway was 140 miles into today's ride, it still seemed much too early when I got there to stop. I bought some more drinks and tried to phone the motel in Fowler, slightly off the proper ACA route, but got the usual telephone failure. This morning when I passed through Tribune, the town whose motel I had repeatedly failed to contact yesterday, there was no sign of a motel anywhere so I don't hold out high hopes for Fowler. I don't really care though. If I can't stay here, I'll carry on to Pueblo. It may be 192 miles but I'm having such a good time I don't want to stop. It just shows what a good bit of wind can do.
