Here's one of many giant irrigating machines which cover the prairie. Somewhere in the distance is the central focus where the water comes in. This huge arm trundles around it. When I first saw the aerial photographs of the cirles of lush crops which these devices produce, I didn't believe that there could possibly be mechanisms large enough to prouce them.
