The visitor centre at the Lewis & Clark Memorial Park. Lewis & Clark were the leaders of the first overland expedition across North America and back, in 1804-1806. There are some good cycle paths in both the Illinois and Missouri parts of the St. Louis area and this visitor centre is at a node of one of them. It's a bit odd then how far away the bike parking is from the building. Unusually for today, at this time there was insufficient wind for me to get a good photograph of the Illinois flag.
