 The railway ended but the cycle route signs to Cherbourg continued... for a little way. Now there are still signs telling cyclists how to get to nearby villages but the signs have gone very quiet about Cherbourg. The only options seem to be a busy dual carriageway with no shoulders or this track which I suspect might not maintain this standard. Still, I've got hours to spare today so I'll go for the option which might involve walking.
