 I was on this particular cycle path for about 4 km and in that distance I saw three of these rest areas, complete with working water taps. Some of the other cyclists waiting for the ferry at Portsmouth on Monday reminded me that water fountains are common in Spanish towns so you don't necessarily need to carry much water. I wouldn't see any more today after leaving this path though.
