 Spanish towns almost always have drinking water taps in public places, which isn't true in France. Irun is the last town in Spain so I'm having a good drink here and re-filling my bottles. On the left side of this stand, there is a low tap with a metal bowl under it, for dogs. Some of the other cyclists who were waiting with me for the ferry in Portsmouth said that in France there are drinking water taps in cemeteries. I hadn't heard that before.
