 I didn't do much cycling between last year's holiday and this year's, and I had forgotten that my right pedal was making a clicking sound during the end part of last year's trip and that I actually bought replacements in Inverness but never got around to fitting them. It was completely silent for the first day and a half of this trip but the clicking has been getting worse since then and is now a loud crack which happens on every revolution and sometimes echoes back off nearby buildings or cliffs. I thought I would be able to buy another replacement pair at one of the many bike shops in Bilbao yesterday but it was a national holiday so they were all shut for the whole weekend. I found a good solution though: the building across the street is the hotel which I have booked for tonight, which I don't need to leave until midday tomorrow, and the information online says that the bike shop in the foreground will open at 9:30 in the morning.
