 So much for that idea. Although today's route is only about 43 km, it was meant to have about 650 metres of climbing. This is the second time today that I will have come up and down additional unnecessary hills so the total is probably about 1000 metres. That's the amount of climbing that I would normally expect to do on a typical 130 km ride.
