 Today has been a lot cooler than the previous days. On the two days when I was riding between Carlisle and Glasgow, I occasionally saw things which reminded me of the time that I once made that journey in the opposite direction, when I forgot to bring any gloves and had to wear socks on my hands instead. It's only just occurred to me that I've forgotten to bring gloves on this trip too.
