 There's a point on every trip where I suddenly feel like I have settled into the holiday and that I'm really here. This year it happened just now, seeing my hotel lit up prettily as I stepped out of Whataburger into the warm humid Texas twilight and smelling the combination of fast food and those bags of fertiliser over on the left.
