 I'm on the train with the bike. There isn't actually a bike rack but the guard said that where it is now is a good place to put it. I'm not sure that's true because it's in a space which is covered in signs saying that it is reserved for wheelchairs and nothing should be stored there. I assume the guard knows more about it than I do though. It seems that on this train the carriages are connected upstairs but not downstairs. Downstairs is mostly luggage racks, toilets and such like. This little downstairs room only has about three rows of seats. I have a business class ticket so the guard said that I can either sit here with the bike or in the business section which is upstairs in the next carriage. He also said there is no difference, which makes me wonder why the train even has a business class section.
