 Freddy founded the company in 2002 in Kansas but he was already 77 at the time and based it on diners which he remembered from the 1940s and 1950s. The poster to the left of the window is advertising a flavour of frozen custard called "dirt 'n worms". I didn't try one of those but instead had the original turtle flavour, which doesn't sound much better.
