![]() The second leg of the journey was less relaxing than the first. The train has a cupboard which is apparently meant to hold two bikes but there wasn't really enough room for two in there. When I got on the first bike slot was already occupied by a blue bike which looked like an abandoned heap of junk but I have a feeling that might be because the person whose bike had previously been in the second slot, who got off where I got on, had had to muck about with the first bike's cables to fit theirs in. There didn't seem to be a first class carriage on this train and there was nothing in the carriages to show which seats were reserved so I had no reason to sit in the one which I had booked. I had no idea which station the blue bike's owner would be getting off at so I chose a seat where I could keep constant watch on the bikes and leap into action if I needed to move mine to let the blue one out. That wasn't necessary because its owner was actually coming here to Great Malvern, which is where the train terminates. When she arrived she was a smartly dressed woman carrying what looked like a Louis Vuitton bag. She wasn't at all the kind of person who I expected to have a bike like that.
