 I've made a mistake here. The picture on the screen should have told me that this wasn't going to be the talk about the probability extraterrestrial life which I was expecting. The fact that everybody around me in the audience was speaking German should also have been a giveaway. This is actually some German travel writer giving a 45 minute talk in German about his experiences. I'm stuck here now, especially since I don't know how to ask the people next to me to let me out. I don't even know his name. This talk isn't mentioned in my daily programme of activities. Perhaps there's a sepearate German edition. He paused three times during the talk so that a section of a relevant piece of music could be played. Two of them were by Simon & Garfunkel. I had no idea that those two would be so integral to this holiday.
