 The cars on the left are coming across the border from Switzerland to France. My road, on the right, remains in France but meets the other road between the Swiss and Franch checkpoints. In the process of looking for somewhere to park, walking to take a picture and driving away, I passed through the Franch checkpoint seven times without actually crossing the border.
