 These models in the museum show the two types of countryside in Normandy: hilly with hedges and flat without hedges. The maps on the wall show where each type is found. I didn't realise there was this distinction and have been trying to stay on the flat ground but the absence of hedges has meant that I have felt the full force of the wind.
