![]() Next to the harbour are a Mercure and an Ibis hotel, which are owned by the same company and entwine around each other. The Mercure is more expensive. I spent quite a long time last night deciding which one to book. In the end, I paid the extra for the Mercure, even though I realised that most of the the benefits of it were things that I wouldn't actually use. For example I don't need the safe, I probably won't use the kettle, and the option of free cancellation was pointless when today's ride was so short that I could have walked. What swayed it for me was that the room here is bigger, it has a fridge and in the photographs it had proper drinking glasses. I'm glad I've got my Coca-Cola glass otherwise I would have been annoyed to arrive here and find these paper things. They're not even proper paper: they say they've got plastic in them so I don't even know whether they are recyclable.
